Gateway to Joy with Donna. I've been listening to an Indian drone piece - voice and sitar - for about half an hour now. It's driving me nuts. I will not give in.

Two possibilities:

I'm expanding my sensibilities with this the same way I did with idm.
I am simultaneously jaded and addicted to novelty. Only profoundly weird music can get through to my tired, tired ears now.
